If you choose to buy direct and manage your own modular home project, be prepared for the time and commitment it will take. It is a very time-consuming endeavor to manage a construction project. Everything has to be scheduled, and timed so there are no delays. Supervision of construction requires a working knowledge of the process and close attention to details. If you have experience in modular home construction, and/or feel confident with your knowledge and abilities and have done your research, you may be able to proceed without a builder.
