Understanding the Building Process<\/a><\/h1>\n

Things can roll along very quickly at this point for the modular home delivery<\/strong>, the set and making it weather tight.\u00a0 Generally with a well coordinated job site, the modular home delivery, the setting of the home and the weatherization of the home is around 80 to 90% complete within just a few days.\u00a0 Legendary Homes strives to set the home within 2 days of delivery and then making it weather tight the day it is set or the day after set, depending on the size and style of the home.<\/p>\n

Site Delivery of Your Modular Home<\/h2>\n

Typically a modular home will arrive in 2 or more sections.\u00a0 The modular boxes can be in sections of 14′ to 16′ wide and can come in lengths of up to around 76′ long.\u00a0 The building site needs to be managed in a way to allow the crane to set near the foundation and to be able to access the modular boxes and assemble them onto the foundation. The home may be “roll set” if the site allows.<\/p>\n

In cases where there is limited room on the job site, a staging area may be needed to store the units offsite until the set day.\u00a0 If this is the case then a toter truck may be required to move the home to the modular home site.\u00a0 This is a standard process and is common with city and lake lots.<\/p>\n

Assembling Your Modular Home on the Foundation<\/h2>\n
On the day of set the “set crew” will show up and start preparing the home for set.\u00a0 The crane (if needed) will come at the appropriate time to begin setting the home on the foundation.\u00a0 It is very important to have the site prepared ahead of time so to not have the crane waiting.\u00a0 This is important to reducing the overall time for the crane.\u00a0 The crane will charge from portal to portal, meaning from when they leave their business until the time they get back.\u00a0 This is why it is so important to be prepared for the day of set.\u00a0 We also will roll set the home if the site allows.\u00a0 This can reduce the risk of increased costs.<\/div>\n
